SYNERTECH(®) ADDS MICRO-DYN DRGACTIVE SOFTWARE TO ITS GROWING ASP
PORTFOLIO
HARRISBURG, Pa. (Aug.14, 2000) - Synertech(®), a premier applications services
provider (ASP) and administrative outsourcer to the health care industry, has
signed a licensing and reseller agreement with Micro-Dyn Medical Systems, Inc.
to add DRGActive(™) Enterprise DRG Control software to its administrative
outsourcing and application services.
Headquartered in Carmel, Ind., Micro-Dyn develops and markets Medicare-related
software and component products.
DRGActive is Windows(®)-based diagnostic grouping software that will be
integrated into Synertech's advanced health care payer application, adding depth
and performance to its ASP and outsourcing solutions.
The addition of DRGActive, a high-performance ActiveX component for DRG
calculation, adds significant value for Synertech's customers in the Medicare
market and expands its growing portfolio of health care payer applications.
CMS requires use of its diagnosis related group (DRG) codes for Medicare claims
processing. By using this software, which is fully CMS compliant, Synertech will
be able to incorporate DRG weighting factors into its processing to allow
computation of Medicare reimbursements for hospital stays. DRGActive is designed
for large-scale enterprise health care applications and integrates with
Web-based applications.
